It’s official! We will have another 6 weeks of cold weather! Not sure how you feel about this news, but I’m not too happy. That means more long sleeves and rainy weather, but I guess it’s better than snow. For those of you who are not aware I live in the South and of course anything less than 70 degrees is cold for me. {Don’t say a word!} Just kidding, I’m hoping that all my friends up North and out West will stay warm and safe.

I’d like to welcome another wonderful group of folks that will be receiving this newsletter weekly. Some may be confused with the title and the name, but you will soon get used to me. The group I’m referring to is the wonderful friends from Armenia Family Chiropractic. I hope that you find the information contained within this weekly newsletter informative and if so, please pass it along to your family and friends.

Resolution? What Resolution?

How are you doing with your New Year’s resolutions? Are you still on track or did you get distracted and forget about the resolution you made on January 1st? If you have neglected the resolutions or fallen off the wagon, no worries, you are not alone. It is expected that many folks will discontinue the resolutions that were made on January 1st within 4 weeks or less.

Instead of getting depressed, make a plan. One of the main reasons resolutions are broken is because they are unrealistic. Let’s face it, if you want to lose weight, why are you waiting until January 1st to begin? Start today; better yet start now to develop a healthier lifestyle. It’s not as difficult as it sounds, although it will take determination and dedication. If your goal is to eat healthier and smarter, then you can begin by developing a menu for the week or better yet for 2 weeks. Choose meals that both you and your family will enjoy and your road to healthier eating will begin. Make your shopping list according to the meals you have chosen. If you want to save money go through your pantry and freezer and develop your meals according to what you have in stock. Once that is gone you can develop a shopping list, and clip coupons if you desire. But most importantly you want to develop a plan and a system, without those two main components, you will be setting yourself up for failure.

If your goal is to save money, the same plan applies. Determine your monthly income, write it down to make it real, and then determine your expenses. Once you have them all written out you can visualize where your money is going and can access the situation. Cuts can be made and savings begin. You don’t have to go crazy in either scenario. Whether it is losing weight, and exercise routine, saving money or developing a business, the concept is the same. Make realistic goals and stick to them. Share your goals with your family and friends so you are held accountable and you will succeed. Don’t wait until January 1st to change something in your life, start today!
